Songs are but poems

Set to flight

Upon the mystical wings

Of music

As I progressed in my writing, I noticed that some of the poems seemed to naturally have a rhythm to them and I found myself humming them each time I read.  Wanting to see if there was more to this, I decided to attempt to convert one of the poems into lyrics for a song.  It amazed me how effortlessly the transformation took place and it was thrilling to start singing my own song.  In fact, it was so much fun that I tried it again and again and I soon had several song lyrics on paper and songs inside my head.  However, this soon led me to a sad realization…amongst my artistic gifts, the ability to write and/or compose music was not one of them and I feared the songs would be stuck forever in my head only.  Fortunately, fate came to my assistance and led me to find those who not only had talent in this field, but also the heart and vision to make the songs a reality.

My goal is to make many poems into song lyrics, and song lyrics into songs, and songs into music videos…all for your enjoyment.  So far, this work is in its infancy, so keep and eye out for things to come.
